MyDC Short Cycle batch - One year complete - 13 Jan, 2004
I dunno how I missed putting this on my blog. That's fine, now it is here. This was what I wrote when I completed 1 year in Infosys - on 13th Jan, 2004 (yeah that's 3.5 years back)...
Here it is...
It was this day but the year showed 2003 in calendar. 180 young enthusiasts first met at Infosys Mysore DC (MyDC). They were to undergo rigrous short cycle training in the MyDC. Young budding professionals from various backgrounds, coming from the vast stretch of this great country has come to MyDC to show their potential and knowledge and take this company forward.
From the word "go", everything was hectic. We all remember those training days, when we used to rise from bed along with rising sun. Most of us had seen the rising sun after 4 years (in engg. who used to wake so early :O). Moving to the FC and grabbing whatever we can get as class start at 9. Those heavy doses of technical training whole day would have taken its toll. But this batch showed what dedication really is. Whenever getting time, wherever, be it FC or break btwn class, just relaxing. Still remember the lunch and dinner timings where more trainees were to be seen then the employees. I remember the days which we spent in the Guest house, walking at nights... Styding late nights.. or just realaxing in lawn (inspite of warnings :-))
Specially remember Sundar Sir boosting the morale, during the compre time. When people from development region complained, it was Sundar Sir who took responsibility on himself. Never had he said that you people are doing, I always remember he used the word "we". It was the dedication of these teachers especially Sundar Sir that this batch scored so well in compre.
After compre it was time to go to base location. Whole training we had enjoyed. Made friends with people whom we barely knew 1.5 months back. It was time to say "bye" to many of our firneds. Still remember the last day. I think no group slept that night. All were talking, all were with their friends. Everyone wanted that night not to end. But alas morning came, first were people from pune people to leave, then chennai, bangalore, hyderabad, mohali, and the last to leave the Mysore campus was a lot of 35 poeple who have been sent to the coastal town of Mangalore.
We all have still continued to enjoy. We meet each other some or the other time. We are doing good in the company. Initial reaction when we got Mangalore was, why me? why me sent to mangalore when it was my last option :P. But everyone has accpeted this town, its beauty. And has merged himself/herself with other Minfoscians.
I can continue writing about the past because everyone had such sweet memories that no one will ever forget. But its the present which we have to see. We are still in contact with all our friends. Regularly mail them :) and sometimes start chain-mails also (most of the time courtsey Zakki). We have moved forward in th company. Contributing to it. Many of us are already onsite, with many leaving in short time.
Thats all what i have to say. Thats all what i wanted to share. And its quite a long mail :).
Bye,
Miss u all and the training days.
