loss of being an "early adopter" - letter to HTC

Long one, but tells the frustration of an avid "early adopter" of HTC products - who now lives every moment hating his decision to purchase so early.

Well I purchased the HTC Touch HD as soon as it got launched in India - in April end - unfortunately on my birthday as a gift for myself. Costing Rs 44,000 I assumed it to be a perfect gift for myself until now when looking at what HTC has offered as HD2 at a much cheaper price, making me think why did I tried to be an "early adopter" for this HTC product?

Within 8 months my gift is well Rs 8,000 expensive (as HD2 is coming in 36,000), is 0.5 inch smaller screen, 160MB less RAM, has one downgraded version of OS (Win 6.1 in HD while 6.5 in HD2) and above all is 496 MHz slower (almost half the speed of HD2). Looking at these numbers I just can't console myself that what I assumed to be a phone from HTC which would not die out in years have become obsolete within just 8 months and the next generation phone is way too far ahead.

Above all it has changed my perception and view about the company. From being a advocate for HTC products, I now have moved to a stage where I would definitely recommend everyone planning to purchase their next new phone to wait and not grab the current best one as the next best is just a few months away.

I would definitely like to hear what the company officials have to say about this. Waiting to hear from them.
