unknown people driving the republic...

one of my blogs on the run.... am just waiting for my office bus. One of the traffic policeman walks to the middle of the road and waves to a bus to stop. I was still in process of thinking what the driver had done wrong, I realised he has stopped the bus for a foreigner who was standing on the roadside.

yeah I know what you are thinking, what if that driver had stopped for an Indian to get on. we would have been pissed. but this is the beauty of Indian culture - athithi devo bhava. some nationalists will hit me back saying we never get this treatment when we are in some other country, but we need to realise that there culture is not same as ours. that should not stop us from following the greatness what has been taught to us generation after generations.

small thing right, me too thought similarly but then it occurred to me that these small things often gets missed and we only criticise them on the mismanagement which happens on city roads. these small things by unknown people has only kept the country going. in CNN-IBN words these are the people who drives the republic.
